Hi peoples,

here the last beta before release a lot of bug where cleared
and some features where tuned or added.

in soundconfig you can now disable the "old vessel use 2.5 SDK" warning.

I have included in the new folder "OrbiterSound_SDK" a detailed walktrought
in 4 simple step how to update your add-on from 2.5 to 3.0 SDK.
This folder contain also a shuttlePb project example to show
you how the SDK work (with a dll already compiled to try)

I recall that with the new SDK in 5 lines of code at the init of your vessel
you can replace OrbiterSound's wav with yours wich will customize completely
your vessel with no effort of sound coding, you can replace main thrust
aircond rcs and the 9 ambient sound. Just call the init function and pass
your wav's name to the replace function.

INSTALL
-------

WARNING SOMES FILES HAVE CHANGED PLEASE DELETE THE FOLDER "SOUND" BEFORE INSTALL.

here the link: http://www.dansteph.com/publie/divers/OrbiterSound3000.exe

1-Don't report bug from previous version only "3000"
2-Copy/past Orbitersound_log.txt text in case of problem.
3- Many thanks for testing ;)

If there is no critical bug I'll release the new OrbiterSound 3.0
tomorrow.

Dan

Dan, I didn't have any problems with the latest beta, it worked great.  I was going to suggest that if
you were going to update the DGIII for the OS3.0 SDK, perhaps you could squeeze in an ATM machine
on the overhead panel?  You never know when you might get a chance to buy more MP3's.  :)

DGIII is already updated for SDK 3.0 :)

I'll release it just after OrbiterSound 3.0 release.

*suddenly feels like Dan is signoring him*
Guess I'll just have to keep using Windows Media Player in the background...

I've also noted it doesn't like any of my other 320 kbps mp3s regardless of length/filesize...:(

Dear Dan :

may be I found something wrong...

When I push the test button (orbitersound windows), on line "play main thrust sound when applied" => no sound...

I don't find file "main_int.wav" in "vessel"directory
but there is "Copie de mainext.wav" file.
and if I change the name as"main_int.wav", test button works...

so to check?...

Something else, but I think it's not your faute:) : when the LM take-off from the moon, no hoover-sound.

Voili voilà...
Jacques

OK Dan, kill me now...

One last request on my part: We have Shift-N to "play next" MP3; can we also get Shift-P to "play previous"?  I have
200 MP3s in my playlist, and if I cycle allllllll the way through to one, and just miss it, then I have to cycle through
alllllll the way again :)

THank you kind sir...
Dave

well, I only have 155 tracks on my playlist, but I would hate doing that too. It's a good idea, dan.

You will laugh... the only problem why i didn't do that already is that I don't
have anymore place on the MFD.... (to put a hint text)

:wonder:

Hmmmm.....you can't modify the MFD buttons to read "NXT" and "PRV", I suppose?

Even without the hint text I think the functionality would be nice to have :)  Put it in the documentation (we know
everyone reads documentation) ;) Better to have the functionality and not have a hint text, than not have a hint text
and NOT have the functionality, right?

LOL! :)

Thanks Dan...did you just add the function, or did you also add buttons on the MFD for it?
