Hi, Dan -

I would like to have OrbiterSound configured so that mp3's will play in cockpit, only, but with the scenario starting
with mp3's off. That way, I can get the ship ready to take off, or whatever, and then turn the music on, if I want,
using shift-3 (or a button, if you are going to add that to the radio mfd).

As it is, I cannot do this; the only thing that I can do is to configure OrbiterSound to have mp3's disabled ( "never
play mp3's" ), and then I cannot turn them on, at all (shift-k crashes Orbiter to desktop, in that case).

I very much like that Bach piece, but it is a bit aggravating to have it come on every time I start Orbiter, until I go to
the radio mfd and turn mp3's off (I have not yet set up a playlist of my own).

[P.S. - I have now tried configuring OrbiterSound to play mp3's only in external view, and then, if I start the scenario
in the cockpit, I can use shift-k to reconfigure, so that mp3's play only in cockpit, and then also turn them on with shift-
3, but this is a weird workaround].

Basically, I would like you to add to OrbiterSound config, an option to have Orbiter start, with mp3's muted (i.e. - as if
shift-3 were initially selected), although otherwise configured to play internally, externally or whatever. Then, the
music can be started, when desired, using shift-3.

Thanks very much.

Also, in OrbiterSound config, the test button for the main engine sound does not play anything. This concerned me,
since I thought that the main engine sound wave had not been installed, or something, but it turned out that the
main engine sound DOES actually work, in Orbiter. So, I suppose that this is a small bug.

Confirmed. I noticed that one too.

That's the idea, yeah ... speaking of which, if Dan reserves some time for this, we should open up Bug threads for
both OS and DG3...

Okay, this thread will be renamed and kept on for bugs.

Keep the reports short and precise. Dan likes to make checkmarks when he resolves a bug :)

Orbiter2005 suddenly started crashing to desktop after installing latest beta OrbiterSound1000.exe, but the previous one
(OrbiterSound30.exe) worked just fine.
I still don't know why, maybe it's some bug.
Orbiter2005 works only if I deactivate OrbiterSound module in the Modules list.
Anyway, my soundcard is a SB Audio PCI 128, while OrbiterSound_Log.txt states:

OrbiterSound 3.0 ver. Jan 18 2005  Log Started
***********************************************

Passed initModule - Ok
Passed ExitModule - Ok

and Orbiter.log states:

**** Orbiter.log
Build Jan 16 2005 [v.050116]
Found 0 joystick(s)
Module Rcontrol.dll [API v.041022]
Module MFDTemplate.dll [API v.041022]
Module Framerate.dll [API v.041022]

Any particular scenarios / vessels this happens with? Or does it happen with any of them...

(I haven't tried the 1000 version yet, so I'm interested) :)
