This cropped up in the Main Orbiter addons forum, but some of us have experienced it and discussed it privately.

Someone wants to do a repaint that involves laying an image over the top wing and fuselage.  When they view the
final product they see the image is breaking up (small lines) where the wing fences are located.

Apparently the UV coordinates of the wing fences and the UV coordinates of the upper wing don't correspond (match).

Any way around this problem, other than only using solid block colours over the fuselage?

This was a problem with the original DeltaGlider mesh I tried to correct it
but it was a pain at this time (I should have to correct a lot of texture
because I saw this problem lately) so I leaved the mesh with this problem.
(again the orgiginal DG have it but while the texture is red we don't see it)

One way would be to remap completely the DG(III) mesh using Max ?

Sorry I don't have better solutions...

Dan

Kinda thought so.  If I can find the time, I might take a crack at it for you.  But, I must admit, it's not high on the list
of priorities.

Sounds like the pic of the Canadian repaint I'm putting together that I posted on the Orbiter forum a couple of days back.
I've managed to work around the problem by avoiding the wing fences. Should have my skin ready for upload somewhere in a day
or two.  I'll post here when it's ready..

Yep, it was.  But I've had it before on other repaints.  Thought I'd take the opportunity to get the straight poop from the
horse's mouth.

(no offence intended, Dan, it's an anglosaxon colloquialism)
