So I come on to check messages in the forum today, and I see there's six people online!  Wonderful, I think to
myself.  You know, I've got a spare moment, let me just pop onto the chat function and say
hel.........ummmmm....errrr......hmm.

*looking over at Dan*  Hey, I know you're busy, but I specifically remember requesting a chat function for this forum
months ago   Could you get on that, please?  Then I will go from this :wall: to this :wor:

Thank you! ;)  Aren't you just so glad that I decided to rejoin the community? hehehehehe

mhhh I should add this one in the FAQ :)

Only java or Flash would be able to make a nice chatting room my knowldege
here is limited and finally I don't like them so much because they don't leave
any trace. So it's finally like a private conversation by phone.

It finally end with people that share discussion only beetween them and this
can split a forum in "clan"  (It's was very clear in the official forum at somes
moment that somes peoples used this ways to bash somes others forum users)

But if you look closer you can see a nice new feature that can be used "more or
less" as a chatting room it's the BRAND NEW "private message system"
exlusivity of the dansteph space :)

Click on <-Msg next a name and you'll be able to send a private message, the user
will be immediatelly warned about it if he's online and he can reply in direct.
Refreshing the page often you can have a sort of chatting.

If you want to look your message box click on "Message" link at top.

Cheers,

Dan

McBrain created a bona-fide chat system a few months ago also.. but havent visited for a while.
worked great, but of course he's on the other end of the globe, so expect a 10 hour difference.

...Now where's that Girl with my Latte' ?

You could always try the orbiter chatroom here:
http://www.orbithangar.com/orbiterirc.cfm
Or, using an irc client, here:
orbiterirc.no-ip.com

Sorry, dude, doesn't work :(  Just tried it.

Even if it had, it still wouldn't be quite the same as chatting in HERE *sniff sniff*

Maybe he was referring to modERATORs? I am galactically known as the most dictatorial, non-friendly, ruthless, self-
absorbed, egotistical, crazy maniac... don't you know?  so by all means, go to moonport.. if you dare! :)

Can't tell from here. :doubt: Normally metric rulers come in 15cm or 30cm, maybe 12, but I don't know. There are 12
inches on a 30cm ruler though.
