I can't be held responsible for things that I indirectly influence. I did not say "evil alien! Go away!"

Therefore if it truely was my actions that drove anybody away, I would not know it, and thus am immune from your
negative slander directed at me.

Speaking of the "straight down" re-entry technique, I'm the guy that invented the straight down technique for landing
on Venus. About the only viable method I've found, but now everyone uses it.

Not so fast. It's not confirmed :)

then again, these kind of threads turn out to be threats, or at least put pressure on the target Orbinauts. so it
seems.

another method. go in ass first.

its VERY risky, but with a light enough fuel load, can be pulled off without any deaths.
the craft would likely tear apart in real life doing it, but hey.

(just go retrograde, and full burn with afterburner on, leaving the retro autopilot on as you descend.
heat buildup is quite fast, and the craft will become unstable at some point, but just flip it around and catch the air at
mach 1-2 at that point, cutting the engines).
but yeah, i've only pulled that off like..3 times. :)

LOL - I went in backside first in the dg3 once...entirely unintended.  I was OK for a while - until I started spinning.

BTW - littlemissalien seems to have disappeared! I wonder where she's got to.......Probably nicked a DG3.....
