I'm running IE8 on Windows XP and I'm happy with it. I've tried Firefox but I didn't find any "super-faster-mega-cool-things", so I stayed with the most stable one, IE. I never tried Google Chrome. I hated Opera after five minutes of using it and I didn't try Safari (and I don't want to try it).

I also use chrome, I have the same opinion as Colonel Sanders about is speed, compared with IE and firefox it's the faster, and it has a better look than the other...

I prefer Firefox, with all his web-creator's tools. Google hrome is too simple, and IE is just a ... wreck. ^^ I never tried Opera and Safari.

Internet Explorer, there, I said it... :P

I tried Firefox for a while, and had the same thoughts as Bibi Uncle. Basically I couldn't see any difference.

Internet explorer for years but it became fat and slow.
Google look to much as big brother lately so the logic choice for me:

Firefox.

No one favourite. Issues with all, but most used is Firefox with Chrome as a close second due to speed.
IE ... not a chance.

Firefox for sure.  I used Google Chrome for awhile but it was such a memory hog.  I'd have to have minimal tabs open when doing anything else.  Cras suggested Firefox so I switched to it to see what it was like.  Speed seems the same to me, and the memory used is a whole lot lower.

I use Firefox and Waterfox.

I searched up waterfox expecting you to have been making a bad pun, but it turned out to be a real thing.

You must be a wizard.

Might have to give it a try since it's recommended from two great sources.

Firefox is my favorite, it just runs smoother than IE.

I think the problem with IE is just that Microsoft has tried to implement features and bug fixes that don't actually optimize it. IE10 is supposed to be faster than any of the previous versions.  But, as I used it, it's no different than the last versions.  It just doesn't handle well what Firefox and Chrome can handle.

I'm running IE8 on Windows XP Pro. I prefer it because it's what I'm used to. Some sites constantly ask me to update my IE or install Crome, which I have to dismiss to continue. I feel it's the hard sell line, but as they keep fixing what isn't broke, it gets annoying. I would properbly update and use Crome, but it doesn't offer real English spelling, just Americanised. I'll struggle with what I got and ignore the business peer pressure of the constant internet upgrader money spinners.

Is IE8 more stable than IE10 because I updated to it.  I can't honestly tell if it is better.  Also, if you ever want to switch browsers, go to FF as the UI is similar to IE.
