Hello everyone i'm really new to the Orbiter program just started about 2 weeks ago.

I have managed to get to the ISS and dock in mision STS114, then unload the payload and return to earth using Auto
FCS.  My question is regarding STS 115.

I get to the station and dock, then unload the truss using the Arm of the shuttle, then I want to transfer it to the
canadarm on the ISS by changing ships with F3 and using the arm controls supplied with iss fleet.  But I need to
detatch the arm to move it along the to the left side using the robot that moves along the ISS (I forget the name).

Then after that there is meant to be a spacewalk to activate the SARJ and extend the panels.  How does orbiter handle the spacewalk? I can undock my astronaught but all he seems to do is fly about.

Thanks very much and its a great sim you have here! I hope ou can teach me all about handling the shuttle missions.

Welcome!!

If you want to handle something with an astronaut from the ISS, try "ISS ummu compatible" + "UMMU v1.5" by DanSteph (read doc
for more informations ;))

UMMU:

ISS UMMU compatible (last item of the list):

Q if you install the UMMU compatible can you then still use the canadarm?

I am a shuttle enthusiast and I would really like to complete the STS missions (they only start from 14 though which is
annoying :( I wanted to build the iss from scratch). Maybe this was the start point because of this missions proximity
to the columbia disaster.

So really I would like to know what the procedure is for removing the canadarm and relocating it to the left side of the
ISS using the MBS.  I would also like to know if there is any purpose to doing EVA's in the shuttle fleet
scenarios other than to look like im doing an EVA.

Also, doing procedures like using the OBSS to inspect the side of the shuttle, while amazing that I can do this I
wonder is there any point to it if the simulator does not model damage from ascent.

Don't get me wrong i'm not bashing the work it's genius I haven't had this much fun at a PC in ages! :hot: I just
would like some words on advice on how to get the most out of the STS missions.

Ive been trying all night... Is it even possible to unload the truss in mission sts 15 and mount it in the correct place on the ISS? I cant do it. The problem is I cant unload the canadarm onto the MBS.  ALso, in mission STS 14 there were scenarios showing you how ot use the arm correctly.  Are there scenarios for STS 15 that show you also?

Thanks

Tarkonis
