I was looking for educational software and I found this http://www.demonews.com/download-1484.html
Air Command is a game where you are an ATC.
The goal is to direct air traffic without having air collisions.
I found it very interesting, simple but interesting.
This demo allows you to play a certain amount of time and has only one region.
Now I understand why VOR exist and why you request permission for nearly everything when you fly.
It is very educational IMHO.

If you are interested in ATC simulation, there is some free softs or old abandonware available.
ATCC v1.0: http://www.xavius.com/downloads.html

You can also try to run Tower or Tracon for windows (abandonwares availables on the underdogs site)

NOTE: I never played any of them!

Hey, that ATCC is cool... it just gets terribly stressful even with the lowest realistic traffic level.

BAO Tower is also interesting game. But I don't know how realistic it is. There seems to be some problems with
ground traffic. Two planes taxiing in opposite direction on a same taxiway will jam entire airport easily. And there
aren't much chances to plan or control ground traffic. But you can always delete planes. :wonder:
