ya un code simple pour avoir du coco automatiquement sur un vessel réalisé en DLL quand il est séparé d'un
lanceur multistage2...
yes, by testing the attachment, I don't like it much. What will happens if someone get that attachment point to attach
something else to the vessel and detach? I am affraid that it will refuel the vessel, so I think it is unsafe (tell me if I
am wrong).

It implies some handles too that will be hard to find (how are you sure to retrieve the good name for the attachment,
I don't have the multistage2 source code). Besides, that's a problem that should be fixed with a new multistage
version.
So i made a "quick and dirty" trick but very easy to erase when it won't be needed anymore (only a case in the
clbkConsumeBufferedKeys, nothing in the .h, no handle...)

It's really easy to create a panel that keeps the look of the generic panel.
A background bitmap is not an obligation ... so you can do whatever you want after.
In the same time, you can also define the camera pos and dir on a panel.
You can define alpha zones or whatever you want ...

I mean, you can do exactly the same look that the default
panel but with all the functionnality and ""souplesse"" of a custom panel ...

But please don't use the Orbiter default way to built it !
Use Dan's functions for that.
When you'll be ready for this, just ask me ... I will give you all the code you need for only one
 button that action a zone on the HUD just to show you how it is really simple and useful to use these functions ...
And I could also make a very well described how to for all the process from tochope to MSVC via ResEdit ... ;)

En échange, tu me fais mes moteurs et RCS pour Boulinium
J'y connais que dalle et ça ne m'intéresse pas vraiment ...  :badsmile:

Yes, I will do a 2d panel but for the CTV 3.0.
I think a new panel (since I must learn) can easily take a month or two to be ready.

Momo, not sure for this bug on my computer.
When I light off the the attitude mode, RCS completly stops.

But, in the same idea, when I try to change the attitude
with Vicking docked, it is very difficult to turn ...

I think it is a feature ot CTV with a recalc of the COG but, sometimes
it is very difficult to get the attitude needed to change an orbit.

Can't reproduce this. A thing like this would kill the autoburn of IMFD but it runs fine :wonder:
Momo, I hope you are testing on a low end spec config (FPS 13 & 20 on your pics)

Yes, it is difficult to orient the vessel while it is carrying a mass that shift the COG but it goes the same for a real
spacecraft carrying another module.
I was wondering if a cheat will be good or not (we can shift of the COG) but I have decided to keep it realistic.

Ohhh, there is one thing that I remember now we are talking about the RCS.
If you use IMFD, only IMFD 5 (last version) will work (4.6 and 4.7 had a bug that Jarmonik has fixed in august)

I have to quit, it's too stormy here now, I am terribly sorry :sad:

I very often get a CTD.
Not very difficult to solve them but I think your addon is enough complex to be sur complexified.
I mean, if a noob on Orbiter must download a hundred addons before using yours, I don't think he'll do,
or will be able to.

For zl3 and zl4 arm, i don't think you noticed it anywhere
in the doc or on Mustard's home page link for your addon.

Miscallenous

Is it possible to include a maximum of them in your package ?
Or something more light, like a simple pad with Ariane5 if any base is installed
Your own arm :) etc ... etc ...

I was about to report this COG thing...

In fact, I think Apollo had a system to compensate when the LEM was on its nose...  Maybe using the "addforce"
thing (from Dan :wonder: ) to allow the RCS to work efficiently?

No COG shift. Tryed NASSP and AMSO with the LEM docked and I found it is as hard to naviguate than the CTV
carrying a Viking.

The only realistic way to do the compensation is by making the RCS thrust adjustable one per one.

If you persist I'll zero the mass of Viking modules :)

zl3 and zl4 belongs to Kourou CSG,  it can be really tricky to determine which textures and which meshes will be
needed, only Mustard or Papyref can tell that and it will multiply the size of the package to include them.

Habtour belongs to the CTV package (and seems to be ok)  and I am testing the senarios
calling it as i am writing.

I know that Kourou makes the installation more complex. But it is awful to launch without a pad. I don't appreciate
myself to request all that addons.

I have to respect the work of Papyref & Mustard, I can't do a new pad, it won't be compatible with Kourou.

Ok the problem with the Habtour is identified and will be fixed in the next package (missing ini file)

Quick fix, if you want to fix it now:
Code: [Select]
; ===habtour===

[CONFIG]
MESHNAME=ARD-CTV\habtour
SIZE = 40
COG=42.5
VISIBLE=1
CAMERA=(0,-20,1)

; == animations ==

[ANIM_SEQ_0]  ;passerelle
Key=K
DURATION=25
REPEAT=0

[ANIM_SEQ_1]  ;ascenseur
Key=G
DURATION=8
REPEAT=0

[ANIM_COMP_0]
SEQ=0
GROUPS=3,26,27,35
RANGE=(0,1)
TYPE=ROTATE
ROT_PNT=(8.0,-8.0,-7.2)
ROT_AXIS=(0,1,0)
Angle=180

[ANIM_COMP_1]
SEQ=1
GROUPS=23
RANGE=(0,1)
TYPE=TRANSLATE
SHIFT=(0,-48,0)

Copy and paste that in a file named habtour.ini and put in \Config\spacecraft\ folder.

Je ne sais toujours pas comment faire pour zl3, ce ne serait pas très sympa pour Mustard et papy de l'inclure, les gens ne téléchargeraient plus Kourou. Or ils ont fait un sacré boulot dessus.

Thanks ;)

I understand for Mustard and Papy. Not very kind to zap their work, you're right :sick:
A solution should be to make a real description or good warnings in the BEGIN_DESC
part of scenatiis. Don't forgot that many people here are able to solve problems by themselves.
But, is the lambda user able to do it or to take the time to do it ?

Only, an idea.
With many warnings, in the doc, on Mustard's home page and in scn DESC I think you will
avoid hundred questions when time for final release will come.

It should take this form.

BEGIN_DESC

WARNING:-------------------------------------------------------------------
If at any time you experience Crash to Desktop while using this addon the culprit is at 99.99% another addon,
module or MFD. Read doc /page 2 - Installation/ about that Thanks !!!!

Spacecraft3 is included (this time it is a good idea :) )
May be should I include Multistage2 to the ariane5, it will make the installation easier and
remove two warnings.

I don't like to include sp3 and multistage2 usually because someone can miss their documentation
if everybody do that. But this time I think the inclusion is really needed.

By the way, you are right. Warnings should be written to the doc and included in the scenarios too.
Thanks for the text form ;)

Not a bug, but a little question ....

When I launch Ariane5 in autopilote mode, I'am surprised by the attitude it takes in the late
moments of Orbitation ...
The rocket "pitches", don't know if it is the good word for that :wonder: The nose is "vers le haut"
20 degrees environ for a long long time. It's only at the very very late phase of orbitation that the
rocket point to zero.

In external view, il looks strange, and not logical for the purpose we want at this time.
( ECC= 0 the plus vite possible )
En fait, ça donne l'impression qu'on ne pousse pas dans le bon sens, qu'on gaspille du coco
sur une composante du vecteur vitesse pas utile ... Je sais pas si je suis clair.

picto, you beat me to it. See what happens when there's a 10 hour timezone difference :) I also found upon launch
that it makes a radical 90 degree orientation change. I don't know if that's the norm or perhaps could be a bit
smoother.

I am investigating the autopilots to find where it happens. Pic is it heappening on all launches, or one in particular,
can you give me MET?

You can enable the guidance debug by adding GNC_DEBUG=1 in the related ariane5 ini file (the one
that this line calls: CONFIG_FILE Config\W-Ariane5\....). It shows the time elapsed.

I am docked but I made a mistake while gropping the keyboard ! :badsmile:

More seriously, why not testing the case with a DOCKHANDLE and authorize the CTRL J
only if you are not docked ? It's detail but .... perfection ;)
Using
UINT   DockingStatus (UINT port) const;
Or
OBJHANDLE GetDockStatus (DOCKHANDLE hDock) const;

I'm working on that but I encounter many difficulties to get the good dock handle.
May be Dan could help a little for this.
I've been trying to copy the way the handle to the name of a planet is handled in the C++
template by Dan but without any success at this time ... but I think it's really easy.
