It's been down again all weekend hasn't it? I'm starting to think it's my fault. Whenever I have a couple days free to work
on improving my modeling, BOOM there goes my best reference...

I'm quite surprised Martin hasn't gotten a different host yet...

Is the problem of hosting a forum on the university server because of space, traffic, arranging it with staff, or what?

It's not on a university server. The only thing that is on there is the actual orbiter main page, which is still working fine ;)

I guess you didn't understand the question. I didn't mean 'why is there problems with the forum which is hosted on
the university server', I meant more of 'why isn't the forum hosted on the university server'.

I'd guess it's because the orbiter forum isn't a particularly good advertisment for their university. I sure as hell wouldn't
want the orbiter forum associated with anything I do professionally. It's an even more difficult situation for a university
than it is for an individual, so I suspect that's why.

True. If i would own a spaceflight company, this might look different though. In that case i would not have problems hosting
Orbiter, even if its forum is not always the most lovely place in the web. Its a good and professional PR for a spaceflight
company (IMHO), as you get into the memory of those spaceflight professionals who like orbiter (and we exist 8) ), as well as
motivating young people considering becoming a spaceflight professional later in their life. :sage:

Sure looks good when reporting about a aerospace company.

I don't understand your reasoning for this statement. Why would the univeristy object website if it deals with science
and education? Anyway, guess what. It's down again!

Last time the forum died on me, I kept getting "connection refused" from Firefox.
