Is there a way to make Cargo for the DG-IV using the Anim8or studio?

Ummm.... yes...

Build a model. Export it as a 3DS file. Convert it to an Orbiter mesh, using the 3DS to MSH converter (available somewhere).
Add an appropriate DLL (or config file for Spacecraft3.dll). Voila (Did I spell that right? Any French people on this forum?
 )-- you have cargo for your DGIV.

It is okay. I don't think it is illegal in any country to use .dlls at age 14.

Now .ini files are illegal to use under age 12 in Botswana and a few other localities!

I had a little fun at your expense.
I am not a programmer either. What Ursus is getting at is with a little experimenting and know how, you need these items to
create a ship, container, or whatever.

Spacecraft3 .dll does all of the work for you, but you have to specify the parameters of your spacecraft in a .ini file. That
is what pulls the whole spacecraft3 ship together. Depending on whether your container needs to have engines, thrusters,
ect... will determine how complex the ini needs to be.

You don't have to program the .dll Vinka was kind enough to make it and share it with everyone.

You will have to download spacecraft3 for yourself and RTFM to gain enough knowledge to work with it.

No quick answers.

Well, if it's just a standard DGIV cargo container you want to paint, then just click on the Downloads link at the left side
of your screen. Scroll down to the item that says "More Addons for DeltaGliderIV", and select that. Above the first item
listed on the page (and below the last item listed) will be a line that says "Page 0 |Page 1", with Page 1 being a link (Page
0 is the page you're on). Click on that link ("Page 1"). Scroll down to the third item from the bottom of the list: "DGIV
Containers Skin SDK".

Download the SDK, read the included documentation, and paint away.

(Goes back and reads the original question)

Oh... but the question was about Anim8or studio... so I presumed you wanted to build a custom mesh... then perhaps customize
it with some sort of animation.

For just painting a cargo container, I'd recommend a paint program, such as GIMP... or Paint.NET seems pretty popular around
here.

Don't let being 14 stop you. Another 14 year old on the main Orbiter forum is responsible for the UMMUFA and Attachment
manager MFD. His C++ skills are far above my own meager coding. Not surprising since the last programming languages I was
into was Basic and 6809 Assembly language.

computerex. He's made a lot of amazing addons. He says he knows more than just C++ too.

I'm 13 and trying to get started in C++. Probably will be a while til I can even make somewhat decent addons with it, but I still want to learn.
