I like the UN and think it's a great idea. But if the US pulls out, then the UN may end up like the League of Nations did,
gone. That would be a shame.

Agree, what happen in the world right now is a shame and doesn't help
to thrust in humain or in a bright future. So much peoples dumb or blind,
so much lies.

At least half the planet is totally dumb or blind or both, that's my conclusion,
no lesson was taken from 1933 it would happen the same today, the only
difference would be CNN "information" (some nice firework in the background)

But right, it's also my opinion that most humans are totally unaware of the dangers they present to the world (environment, etc.), also they are ignorant of the danger they are in. One day we will destroy ourselves. And the last who will die is the mightiest man of the world (today it's Bush, but how knows...)

BTW: This doesn't seem to be useless! :)

OOPS! (double post mcbrain. ;) )

I'm not going to go in depth with everything. I don't really have the energy, but I thoroughly believe that the world
wars were created with the specific intention of getting people into a one-world gov't.

The deal is, americans saw throguh the BS in the 30's when the first monstrocity came about, so a second one was
neccessary. the third one will be necessary to reduce the overwhelming poupation problem and completely break the
spirits of everyone, thus duping everyone into the complete system. and it'll need to be done before enough "wake
up and smell the coffee" or so goes the expression. but I think I've mentioned this before.

still, repitition works to a degree, as all propogandists know. maybe my consistant babbling'll pay off one day... :)_

I think there only will be 2 world wars at most. If the people learn by the WWIII, then it's only one more from now and man will live in peace and freedom, but if they don't care about history, the weapons on WWIV will be so destructive that noone will survive. Actually the weapons of today could kill all humans and animals on this planet, but I can't imagine someone who would do such an attack without a brain failure. But maybe mankind will develop further and bring up people that are able to do such things. :(

Er...Dan, Doc, could one of you delete one of my double post? The choice is yours which one! :)

Done McBrain.. BTW, was it Einstein that said: I don't know what weapons will be used in WW3, but I know we will be using sticks and stones in WW4 :)

Oh and ALL great leaders in the past (both good and bad) WERE mental cases. From Alexander (who believed he was son of Zeus, duh)  to :)

Anyways I agree with you guys. That was precisely my point. I am AGAINST a world government just as much as Freespace, but I firmly believe a council of nations.. not an executive branch, but more judicial (like a parliament or senate) is not only good, but also necessary. So that no single nation may take the role of world dominance... or commit warcrimes unchecked for that matter.... Just like people NEED religion as an absolute standard, to answer to someone above all else, so do the nations... the problems with UN vs. religion, as a belief not institution, as usual is.. and I am with Freespace on this... that any kind of UN is ran by.. mere people, who are prone to make mistakes or worse, planned evil. If you put God or some kind of advanced (but absolutely GOOD) aliens on top of the world, no problem then... But since my choices are Bush, Berlusconi, Blair, Schroeder, Chinese politicians (I won't even try to spell them, heh) as global leaders I am rather
reserved :) I like Kofi Annan, but he's still just another guy..

In the cold war, there was balance. Now there is none.. and if US pulls out of UN, it would basically mean it is US against
the whole world (both because US in itself is big, and because most other nations are members of UN)... so that would be
really bad. But I guess it will have to be that way...

I do understand that the world wasn't made in a day. I'm not a "leave now or else" kinda guy. other ideals of mine
would be the abolishment of the not-so-"Federal reserve" though I acknowledge that if it was done in one big stroke,
the whole american economy would collapse. :(

just the same with the UN, if the US were to leave instantly, and in the current political tumoil, it would be less than
pretty... :(

just keep bill clinton from being the next UN bigshot. that's all I ask right now. ;)

My science teacher always said,'If nature created man then nature is suicidal',and that was in 5th grade.
And he wasn't a prophet. It doesn't take a genius to see the inevitable conclusion to humanity's future. There is most

If you ask me some shows on the Cartoon Network are a LOT scarrier than this.. Like Courage the Cowardly
Dog. ;)

Ugh. Don't mention that... that... show!

*shudder*

it's not scary, but it's not even a bit entertaining.

Of course, this comes from a guy who, ironically, as a kid, had nighmares of a certain game called "keith courage in
the alpha zones" from a lesser known system called the turbo graphics 16. (looking back, it was harmless)

yet the OTHER game we had for it, which was basically a pinball game, had a haunted theme to it, which skeletons
and bones, and it didn't bother me in the least.

as far as american-based cartoons go, I'm old school. I loved the ones like duck tales and the other "disney
afternoon" cartoons, as well as the cartoons that aired in the aired in the early 90's on saturday morning. (6AM to
noon, I'd wake up super early to catch it from the start, when I'd sleep in for school.) back then cartoons were
scripted well, and it's truely sad that instead of adding those back to modern cartoons, they try to "X-Treme" it. just
look up "buzz bunny" *sigh*

and that all started after they took out violence from the original loonie toons' cartoons. kid's couldn't stand all that
was left, and I wouldn't either"

it's a delicate balance, yet they screw it up. *sigh*

I loved the OLD 50s Disney cartoons, when I was a kind (mid 80s) we had Sport Billy here (duh, what a stoopid
cartoon in retrospect!) and later on I was a lot into M.A.S.K. The fun part of it was, it really boggled my mind how a
car could be turned into a plane or a sub. (lthough more extreme cartoons like Transformers and the likes of those
were just too stupid). And if you remember that Mack truck and the kind of fancy control station it turned into :) So I
tried to make replicas with my Lego set. Then there were Terrahawks (puppet show). Those were just awesome! BUT
I missed Space:1999 (same creator).  Eventually Star Trek gobbled all that up :)

Ahhh, the memories.

That would explain it. I was wondering what on Earth you were on about.
Better not talk about Earth though, it's far too on-topic. ;)
