Ah, Brenton, Krytom, Atom and Freespace I see a lot of anger in you :)

Perhaps it would be time to re-establish the power nations of the Solar System and fight it out properly :)

I am currently running tests of the new NX-01 in Mars orbit, the last Clydesdale transport is due any day now, with a
final shipment of the materials required to complete it, from Lunar Mining Corporation.

No I'm not sure there's a new one, but I mean I am (fictionallty) building a first NX-01 in my empire ;)

I'm not sure about the thrust, but it's not HUGE as one would expect. I think it was somewhere between 10 and 20
m/s^2. Pretty low, but the fuel tank is big ;)

Sure, you can download it yourself! It's on orbithangar.. It also has a docking port in the back of the saucer! I'm not
sure, but do you know about the series called Enterprise? It takes place even BEFORE the James Kirk era. That's
where this ship is from... It's commanded by Captain Archer (played by Scott Bakula)

Here:

That screenshot is old.

it's like it's also before the james kirk era... :)

What really ticks me off is the creator of that particular series had to call the ship "enterprise"

They should have come up with a different name. considering it was made at this point in time, i'd think a name
like "columbia" would be more fitting, but noooo.. :pfff: they had to draw on the popularity of the series by naming
it "enterprise."

I liked voyager just because it wasn't named "enterprise," dammit! :worry:

except for the blue shiney parts (nacelles? I'm not a full trekkie) that thing looks too much like an akira class.

and I will say that I prefer the looks of the sovereign-class, myself.

Hehe, neat. Although you have to view this picture directly, they have hotlink protection on that site.... That blue screen over there, is particulary fitting, haha!

I once created a COMPLETE HAL console like that in Photoshop from scratch, I wanted to use if as interface for my
website. Also created animated gifs with those (NAV, HIB, ATM, etc labels)

Maybe I will, I still have it somewhere :)

Free: I took the screenshot directly off orbithangar. I guess the name is what the series is all about. The word
Enterprise has a lot of positivity about it.. And it's neutral.. Unlike names like Vengeance, Independence, Intrepid,
Hawk even Columbia (which is another way of saying AMERICA, hehe).. Though I'd like to see a new name too...

My personal favourite class though is the bulky Nebula :)

that's fine, I don't really care what it's named. but considering it, challenger would be ideal, would it not? or is that
too offensive? :)

Actually that one would be perfect.. Would sort of also suit Archer's character.. poking his nose into things that got
nofin to do with him, paying visits uninvited and shooting off his primitive phased cannons :)

A real Challenger.. Wish they met a Borg cube or something, hehehehe...

(never mind me. I was just browsing the site with those funny picture and found these. Some pieces are really funny!)

usually ships named 'enterpirese' look a llittle bit more alike each other
also enterprises all start with 1701 but i guess that traditipn was broken when this thing came round

hey, take a look at this:

http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~freespace/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=412342

It doesn't look quite as pretty as orbiter does, but considering that we're talking about the FREESPACE2 engine here
(no pun intended) that's just amazing. 8o

tpday a played a game on ps2 that is probably as close to the exact opposite of orbiter as you can get

first of all there is this radiation rabrier that makes it impossible for people to travle in space

second evry last object in this game is destructable

and third you can only use your hero character to veiw your robot, no cockpit at all (it's a giant robo game)

but the game is still cool as hell :)

Heh heh heh... Damn!  you guys are a Hell of a lot funnier than ME!  Great GUPT Material! :)

and that Freespacery new stuff is pretty cool, Mr. Dotcom.  FSpace was the reason I did StarTrekFederation at
Interplay (poorly, I might add) and also the reason I'm addicted to porn.  Okay, maybe there were Other reasons
associated with that one.  ;)
