Wow... drudged up a thread from nearly a year ago.   :)

Still, it's a very welcome flash-back to a time where men were men, women were women, and cats kissed dogs.
Those times, may they rest in peace, always be within the hearts of space-cows forever.

When I used the new X-Plane v8.21 installer, it needed to download up to 500 megs for the Demo & update data.
(which includes most of California scenery and a full working version for free)
The NEW full global scenery version that Austin's packing into Seven DVDs is SIXTY GIGS of data installed.

Seem a little excessive?  I thought so too.
Still, look at what Orbiter's missing...

and...

So, there's my two more cents.  If you want to check it out, it's all at:  http://x-plane.com/
and remember... I still have a few tricks to squeeze out more on the free demo version.   :turning:
(just <-Msg me.)

HOLY *****************************~!!!!

yeah, I'm jealous.  I new a new hard drive. :pfff:

A sim is only as good as its realism, and half of that is how pretty it is. :)

just... wow.

but still people, every time you bump a topic, someone kills a kitten.

for the love of God, THINK OF THE KITTENS!

Ya know... I gotta say, the DG3 has Excellent Flight characteristics.  Great on stalls, FUN upper-atmospheric gliding for
aero-braking & bounce-offs.  I think 'Flying' is the best part of Orbiter.  It might not have visual turbulence like X-
Plane
7.61 now, but I'm very happy with flight in orbiter.  It's getting More and More use as a Flight Sim, and gliding on Mars
is a lot funner in Orbiter than it is in X-P.

My sister thinks you're cute.

How about a nice picture of sister ?

Hi all!

Enough spoken? How about a video? I'm mostly flying the EC120 helo near Paris. So here it is
http://ps13.lhnet.org/EC120_X-Plane.AVI (297 MBytes - 21mn53s)
For playback, either install some Codecs like SLD Codec Pack v1.5.3 or (better!) use VLC at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
The amazing Paris scenery is here http://baugras.club.fr/xplane/index.html
And for the EC120 it's the version v1.2 at http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?act=module&module=dlmanager&cat=61
Enjoy!

Pierre, LFPG, STV1010

My website with more videos: http://pierre.theillere.free.fr/cockpit.html (see news from Dec, 14th)
Latest video http://ps13.lhnet.org/EDDM_app.AVI it's the faous ILS DME-1 at Mexico in a B744!
