My brother and sister had this nasty habit of reading stories and such out loud for the longest time! I don't know
why, but it was funky....

Maybe they wanted to remember them better. If you just read with your eyes you tend to memorize less... until you
get really used to it (which kids are not)... or so the theory goes.

That very well could be. But I don't really remember doing that for nearly as long as they did. Of course, I am naturally
