Hehe. The joke's on you Freespace2dotcom! I don't have a locker! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. :):):):):)

It could have been: Thankyou, and goodnight!
But it is still morning, even for all you plus 1 peoples.

There's a 1/2 chance that I'm going on tour next year aswell, Dance Band, or Youth Orchestra. I'm in youth orchestra
next year, tubas don't do jazz that much. there are 4 top bands in the AMC. I will be in 3 of them. Brass Band,
Concert Band (the one I will be touring with in a few hours), Youth Orchestra and Dance Band (probably the best out
of the lot).

Even though I've said it already, Goodbye!

Will you go already?! How can we talk behind your back, if you're loitering around? :)

I did think it was funny though. :)

If I might ask though Shmi, what is exactly a larder? I'm unfamiliar with that....

Hmm... I took a look in the dictionary and whooop:

A larder is a small room, often next to the kitchen, where you store food, milk, and other things.

Dan, dude. I so envy you. How dare you live in that wonderful place while I'm stuck on cold, wet, damp, grotty,
cloudy, smelly, British old Britain? Ah well. For the last 3 days I did not enter a single building, all I did all weekend
(plus Friday) was marshel planes and laze around. But this was not 'good' lazin'. This was utterly boring lazin'. Uterly
boring lazin in the rain. But I did enjoy marsehelling all the planes. They were mainly props and allot of them
homebuilts. The name was the PFA Rally. (Popular Flying Asscosiation). Some of you lucky flyboys may have heard of
it.

Char, what was the point in that question? What if this accually turned out to a forum about Orbiter, and that the fact
that you cannot play Orbiter would make you somewhat useless here. Also what if the guys don't want to discuss
their family lives on an open forum? I rest my case!

Well, but this particular thread is supposed to be offtopic and more to the point supposed to be useless, so calm,
Atom :)

No family in plan yet :)

Well, I'm more of a "stay secluded in my room" than a "go out with my family" type person. ;)

Oh Freespace and I thought you had such a large vocabulary! ;)
I put larder because
1) English fridges are tiny compared to American ones :(
2) Most of the food that the teenage gannets voraciously devour doesn´t need to be refrigerated, for example
packets of crisps which I understand Americans call chips.
In England chips are hot fried chunks of potato which have nothing to do with France.:)

Sometimes it can be the case, that people for whom english is a foreign language understand english-english better
than americans do.  :wall: I think the phrase is "divided by a common language".

Oh and Freespace :top: you are not totally secluded in your room, you communicate with loads of friends all
over the world  (your fellow orbinauts) :friend:

ROAR!!!

*freespace rips up dan's carpet and everything else that isn't nailed down*

I am not social. I have no friends!!! I am a jerk I tell you!

:worry:
---------------
ok.. I think I understand now.. so.. in other words.. a larder is kinda like a pantry?

hehe. yeah, potato chips in america are um.. well, I can't really define them very well, but rest assured all I have to do
is say a few brand names.

Lay's, and Pringles. ;)

I understand that they dissappear very rapidly though. I can eat a whole super large bag in a few minutes, seriously.
My favorite kind are the ruffled ;)

*hint* buy the salt and vinegar ones, they'll last longer. :)
I can't stand them and don't know how that flavor even sells.

So I'm assuming that what you call chips are what I would call french fries. (ha! I get the joke. took me a few minutes
to realize it, but I got it... :) )

Boy, this sure is interesting. :)

Of course, in order to be defined as a french fry (in my dictionary, anyway) they need to be in the shape of a stick and have their skin peeled off. If they aren't, then you'd just call them fried potatoes. :)

Since we're talking about potatoes here in the useless thread.. Might I ask how you say potato (and tomato for
that matter)?

Is it with a high or a low "A" sound? I always say it with a high "A".

Hmm.... Low "A" sound? High "A" sound?? What do you mean???

Like low: "Potayeto" (pronounce the "aye" like at the navy) and high: "Poteyto", or what???

See, McBrain? :)

I never actually HEARD anyone say "pot-ah-to" like in "garage" .. So I say potato as potayto :) same with tomato,
although some British tend to prefer tom-ah-to.

I like the way americans (president?) say nuclear though :) not NUC-LEE-AR, but NUK-YOOL-AR. hehehe duh.
Schedule is another interesting example. Some say :SHED-UAL and some say SKED-UAL :)

first things first.

Bush says nuclear wrong, and as a result of that, it makes it seem like every american says it wrong. But that's not
true at all.

I say it as "new-clear" just like the president doesn't.

about schedual. I say it just as I say school. And "skool is kool" :)

now! the really important issue, for this thread at least :) do you say SODA or POP or DIET COKE or even STILL
WATER... MISTER Freespace?

That's freespace-san to you, bub!

I prefer soda, but pop is also acceptable.

On occasion I ask for caffeinated carbonated sugar water. :)
