Title: Whats the deal?
Post by: sarelg on 17 March 2003, 22:33:13
Sorry to post here things that arent really related to the delta gliderII, but since I mastered
docking, I'm doing it all the time, but sometimes, when I turn the Nav1 to 131.30 it doesnt do
anything, neither when I turn it to 137.40, any ideas?

It's because the station is not defined as a vessel, but rather as a 'station' class object.  This is
how orbiter used to do it until vessel-to-vessel docking became available.  v2v made the 'station'
class obsolete, and stations are mostly defined as vessels now.  only vessels can have xpdr and
ils nav beacons, so if the station is defined as a 'station' class, it cannot have any radio
information.  You need to update the station to a 'vessel' class.  I personally don't know how, but
it is in the manual.  Most of the stations in the 'Default Scenarios' are 'station' class.  A lot of the
stations in the 'new features' scenarios are 'vessel' class, though I've heard that the ISS in the
Atlantis 'new features' scenarios is still a 'station' class.
