Beautiful Family, Daniel!

I think I need to move to France. :)

A small village with cow and near mountain in a region called "Rhone-Alpe"
And yes it's a nice , quiet and beautiful place :)
Thanks and of course.... :gift: Welcome

Looks like my kind of place. Always been a country boy at heart. Also looks like someone is

I've always loved Europe. Your daughter reminds me of my little sister. She'll be 2 in June.

Geh, the country is nice for those who like it, but I'll always prefer the city life. I lived in a small community way down
in northwest arkansas, in a town that had a whopping 1,400 people for four years. five miles to the next town, and
20 miles to anywhere else. Not fun. but yeah, that's a really nice picture, Dan. What kind of camera did you use?
Makes me wanna get one.

About the camera I don't know but it was a standard one with film.

About town freespace: I lived 35 years in Geneva (half million people)
it was cool when I was younger but for our children we preffered to
buy a house in france in a small village near geneva.
We have a nice house with 9 room and a garden. For the same price
in Geneva you have 2 room in a big building and no garden at all.
Not cool for childrens.
The only drawback is the grass... cuting the grass each weeks,
I HATE grass :)
Dan

What sort of grass?? :wonder:

The one that you can't smoke but you must cut ;)

It's nice to actually be able to put you into a reallife perspective. Sometimes I get a strange feeling all of you people
are just a figment of my imagination. So when do we get to see your grand face, eh?
Come to think of it. We should make a page or an additon to Orbinaut map so we could post or link to a photo of
ourselves. When I get some skill in php, maybe I could do it for you, Dan. :) Would be nice to put a face behind the
snide remarks of people like Freespace :))) (sorry had to pick one of all of your cool characters)
Well, from the the picture combined with what I so far know about your wife, I put it to you: You are a very lucky
man, Dan!

Yeah, yeah. If I had me a webby, I'd post a picture of myself just so I don't feel left out. But about grass, how much
do you have to cut? back when I lived in the country, we had a half an acre of land that needed to be cut every other
week, because if you didn't, the local town government would literally try to fine you for ruining the "city
beautification" A bunch of self rightious hippocrites, if you ask me. Oh, the stories I could tell..

I Don't know about acre,
it's not so wide perhaps 900 square meter... What I hate the more is to put all the cuted grass
into bags because we bring them into a recycling container.
Anyway if you don't cut, nobody suck you but your garden isn't one anymore.
Krytom, ok for your link.... (just wait sometime I have one nice TV emission to watch right now :)

Yeah, I already know about that site. But I've got a really big surprise for you all. I may regret ever doing this, but
who knows? I found an *OLD* thing that was once my webby, but I forgot the password for it and it fell away to the
annals of time. I guessed at the password just today and IT WORKED~! So, I may bring it to life, or I may just use it
for small, funny pictures. Either way, you can find both a picture of yours truly and a tutorial I wrote. It may not last
very long, so get it while it's hot.

I had a concern also for posting my daughter's pic here....
Anyway my final thought was that there is too much fear on this world and my concern was ridiculous.
we see and hear many horror on media each day but that's NOT the real life.
Doing nothing in life because you fear everything is as being dead already.
As parent it's our duty to teach our small childrens to not thrust anyone because
at this age you are innocent and vulnerable, anyway as I told you already
by mail you arrive at an age where you can defend yourself so forget a bit
your mother's fear.
It's sometime very difficult for us to admit that ours children grow :)

basic purpose wich is "Orbiter"

Oh, dan....
I wish I could whap every person in america on the head right now and tell them that.
Everybody's so afraid of "terrorism" it's sad. It's so bad that people are willing to sacrifice their rights and freedoms in
order to "Protect" their rights and freedoms from things that were already against the law in the first place, but
because it's associated with the stigma of that term. people who are accused of being associated somehow
deserve "special status" by being locked up without a fair trial and never being heard from again. Right now, it's
mostly just "crazy palistinians," but there's at least one full fledged american citizen who's suffering from that. and if
it's possible with one, it's possible with EVERY SINGLE ONE!
oh, I went overboard, didn't I? sorry, I had to vent some steam....

I understand pretty well your concern, We are tuned exactly on the same wave lenght.
if you cannot avoid the danger or have done everything you can to avoid it, you just
need to forget your fear.
because the danger may never become real, but the fear WILL poison your life.
fear can turn all your friends into ennemy.
fear can lead for bad decision that will bring more danger.
fear can finaly become the greatest danger.
Anyway, time pass, things change, we just hope they'll change for better.

Wow, dan! You look a lot different than I pictured you. I was thinking you were a lot older. With grey sideburns,
and, well, less vigorous and maybe just old enough to smack us young whippersnappers in place. :grrr: that makes
me feel even stupider. (and yes, I know that isn't a real word) maybe it's just the way you carry yourself around? Not
a single person looks as I imagined them. With the exception of the "toms" perhaps I'm the youngest person here.
That's good or bad depending on the context. but I'm a pessimist so I'll take it the bad way.
by the way, I really can't see you that well in the second picture, but I believe that word you're looking for is "beard."
Don't feel bad about it. It took me 5 minutes to remember how to spell it. It's not a word I use every day. ;)
I was like: "beird"? WTF, that isn't right....

I'm reworking the crappiness of that site, and it isn't pretty yet, so no real links. but if you wanna see that pic again, then here. personally, That's not my best pic, but it's only one of the few I have on my Hard drive. (no scanner)
And even if you're younger than I had originally thought, you're still about twice as old as me. ;)
this pic was taken at a restaurant our teacher had invited us too (we still had to pay) it was a high class persian restaraunt, and 15 bucks for an "all you can eat" was expensive. I got more of my moneys worth that day compared to my other classmates, though. interesting food, but I'm more of a mcdonalds person myself. ;)

Actually, Reekcha, that's *Electronic* Entertainment Expo! It's called E3 because all of the words begin with "E" and
there are three words in the name...
Anyway. If you didn't know that, you obviously couldn't possibly want to get in there more than I do. How *DID* you
get in there, anyway? friends on the inside? bribe a few dozen guards? I'd like to know. I could try it next year. I
know they don't let the average joe in there! EXPLAIN! I must know how you did it! I WANT IN THERE!
I want to play beta versions of games that won't be released for a couple of years,
I want to brag at how I went to this super-cool convention when my friends were stuck at home.
I want to get autographs! But most importantly......
I WANT TO GET FREE STUFF FROM CUTE GIRLS!

:wall:
Note to self: get several feet of rope, A real DG3, A modded Gameboy, a fancy wristwatch, a tuxedo, and matching
black clothes.
Next year, Land on the roof of the E3 building with the DG3, scale down the building with the rope in the black
clothes. use super-cool kung fu on the back door guards, hide them, ditch the black clothes, revealing the tuxedo, and
get to where the party is. Upon the passing of a few hours, the stopwatch will beep, acknowleging the fact
that the guards have been found and I need to escape. Use the modded gameboy to trigger a fire alarm, causing
mass panic. when outside, use the gameboy as a remote control, allowing the DG3 to pick me up, just seconds
before the guards catch up to me.
repeat process every day until E3 ends.
(look for me next year)

Hehe... solid plan! ...but actually, it's not really as tough as it seems to get in. If you Pre-Register early as a
professioal before april 9 like as it explains here: http://www.e3expo.com/e3expo/registration/
..and have a business card with your name on it that even Hints at computers, you can skip the 'send-in-credentials'
and do a walk-in, wait in the badge line, and they'll more than likely issue you a Free badge if you have ID to go
along with your business card. (as long as your name is in their pre-register list).
I wish It wasn't the last day today.. I woulda been happy to give you my badge to get in for the rest of the week!
:gift:
-
Don't worry too much about it. I live in chicago. a bit far from LA, but I'll go there someday. Thanks for the advice
though. I might just try it out someday. ;)

everyone. hehe (Dan and Gene know what I mean when I say that) ;)

Hey, Dan!! I saw the pictures of you in the airplane! Do you have a pilot's license???

yeah, yeah, I think that's quite fine. I merely had a convient one where I had my face covered. ('cuz I'm so shy.) but
alas, the free hosting policy I have forbids remote linking, meaning that my pic showed a nasty evil "you can't do this
message." so I suspect my sigi will die of the same fate until I get a better hosting deal. I'd never give out me phone
number, but I've no qualms about mentioning where I live because I convenintly live in the same place as a couple
other million people. ;) all in all, do as you wish.
To answer your question krytom, I got my sigi when you weren't looking.

I totally understand Michi. Perhaps we should make a private gallery. But then again, who would be members and
how would you determine membership worthiness.. nah, just forget it.
Hehe, in my case Freespace, the host actually lets me protect myself TOO much. I activated the hotlink proteciton, to
prevent people referencing stuff from my site, now even I can't do that (logically), unless I just deactivate the whole
thing. Funny enough, there is a file that is supposed to process exception URLs but it seems to be ignored :)
Cheers,

hmmm yes, maybe a private gallery would work, here's how:
Guest goes online, tries to access private gallery. They get a "you must log in" message.
Guest registers for the forum. They try again, no luck.
Regular, genuine legit member (me) tries to access, no luck.
Said member contacts Dan via online message to be given permission for private gallery.
Dan checks post count, if >10 he then checks nature of posted messages.
If all checks out, Dan then activates said member's account for private gallery.
Said member then goes to private gallery, logs in successfully.
The rest isn't up to me. ;)

Good idea, I suppose that a post that will show himself only for members
that have >15 posts is possible...

Well, it gets more complicated than that. You all heard/read what Michi said/wrote.
It is not enough for a person to be a poster or confirmed by Dan (no offense). They can still be freaky and Dan is not
a professional psychologist nor expected to do this kind of analysis even if he were. So either all the people who
have something personal in the gallery have to agree to let the new applicant in, or the new applicant must post a
picture of themselves.. or both. Then how do you know the new person's photo is legit? :) Either way it is
complicated.
I guess it's safest for people who wish to post their photo, to just do it and for those who don't, to just not.
cheers,

Your right, but the problem is a bit different for woman anyway,
even if there is only 1 sick guy that watch the page it's enough
to cause problems. Michi is right in this way.

Dang ...That *IS* true.
So much for hatching a plan to get all the other members to post snapshots of themselves
"trying to get comfortable" in hopes Michi might reconsider. :)
