WOW !
What a news !
-
So what is that going to mean for Dan's current efforts?

Fantastic news ! I have to say : I am very happy to hear this.
Of course Martin's work has been amazing, but I am sure that an Open Source Orbiter would have grown tremendously faster, in almost every aspect. It would have stimulated the community in so many ways.
The thing I am hoping the most, is for a community driven multiplayer patch in a few months (years ?), based on OMP maybe.
Not to mention that we have some amazing modding experts in this community, and I am sure they will bring serious progress to the Orbiter "core gameplay" !

Super nouvelle !

Hello everyone,
Glad to hear such news. We will never forget Dr. Martin Schweiger for his impressive and wonderful work ! We could expect that there will be a port to Linux and Unix systems in the future !

A new era in virtual space exploration. Thanx for the news !

So what is that going to mean for Dan's current efforts?
Afaik, Dan was developing his new addons to be comparable with both O2016and R90 of the svn snapshot beta, which is essentially what is on Github now.
