FYI: with Orbiter Sound 4.0 on a clean install of RC2, I'm getting CTD when selecting the Radio/mp3 MFD. No hints as to why per Orbiter.log. My opinion is that Orbiter Sound needs to be adjusted for RC2.

Orbiter Sound is pretty messed up by Orbiter 2016 currently - wrong sounds playing, crashes, bugs... DanSteph needs to rework the code and release a version for Orbiter 2016.

I'm glad to hear that there will be a new OrbiterSound for the amazing new Orbiter :music:
Still does not hurt to ask to export sound calls to the Lua Script system, so that I could add voice to my ATC MFD.

Please take into consideration to keep available the actual "old" OrbiterSound4 for projects like OMP (it runs on Orbiter2010-P1).

I'm pretty sure you will. I just ask because - for example - XR fleet is ATM no more available for it, since Dbeachy1 decided to pull 2010 version from his site, I hope temporarily.

Well, it's a little late to do anything about it now, but after you pointed it out, yes I noticed it.

Judging from times past, Dan has always been a man of his word. Usually there is no pre-announcement. When he is happy with his work, he will post it.
Every update has brought a little more to the mix. I'm looking forward to what Dan will accomplish this time!

Finally Orbiter 2016 was released and soon I downloaded the program and I saw that it still does not have compatible sound !! what? Since August 30 that the game has been released and still no sound?
Playing a new and long awaited "Orbiter 2016" without sound is not good. :(

let's be clear : at this time orbitersound 4.0 works very nicely on my orbiter 2016.
Some (rare) sound are confused, but most things are nominals.
Only some little details fails, but it's completely usable on orbiter 2016, with no real problems.

Orbiter 2016 works with DanSteph's sound - however, it has a lot of bugs. Try opening Radio/MP3 player - it CTDs.
BTW, your English is fine.

yes... I forgot to mention : do not open the MP3 MFD ...
but everything else works fine here, with atlantis and DG (from orbiter, not DG IV I didn't tested yet), except some inverted sounds (radiator for the gears for example).
Only details, no major issues at all.

No. OS is still at version 4.0 and not fully compatible with Orbiter 2016.

Now, this is just weird. Ran Orbiter2016 for a while when it was released, don't recall having problems with Dan's sound. Got away from it for a year or so. Got a new computer, Started with Orbiter2016 and installed Sound right away. Had no problem with anything including the Radio/MP3 MFD. Everything worked. Added a few other add-ons, then one evening I added a bunch of add-ons like IMFD and other stuff. Then the Radio/MP3 MFD caused crash to desktop. Deleted the entire folder and installed new (did that three times), now it crashes with only 2016 and sound, nothing else. then I found this page. Now I understand that Sound4 doesn't really work with 2016. Strange that it worked before. Anyway, so How do I set Nav frequencies without the Radio MFD? I guess I have to Exit and set it in a .cfg file, but, which one? Thanks,

Well, duh!!! Just realized I don't know what I'm talking about, nav frequencies are set in the Nav MFD, not the radio/MP3. Just ignore me. Dan's sound 4.0 is still pretty awesome, even in '16.
