2008 EA9 is a Near-Earth Asteroid. Its diameter is 10 meters and its mass is 1200 tons.
The geometry and the texture of this addon are entirely fictional.
The interesting feature is that you can dock your spacecraft on this rock. In deed, there is 6 docking ports, allowing to simulate an anchoring. Once you are anchored, you can make experiments on how to move an asteroid. For example, take the Arrow Freighter and try to bring back this asteroid in earth orbit. This is a real challenge but this is possible (I tried succesfully).

2008 EA9 est un astéroïde géocroiseur qui existe réellement. Il fait 10 mètres de diamètre et sa masse est de 1200 tonnes.
La forme et la texture de cet add-on sont fictionnels.
La fonctionnalité la plus intéressante est que vous pouvez arrimer votre vaisseau sur ce gros caillou. En effet, il y a 6 ports de docking, ce qui permet de simuler un encrage dans la roche. Une fois que vous êtes arrimés, vous pouvez faire des expériences de manipulation de l'astéroïde (changement d'orbite entre autres). Par exemple, mettez-le dans la soute du Arrow Freighter et essayez de l'apporter en orbite terrestre. C'est un challenge mais c'est réalisable.
