what does error reporting have to do with the way orbiter works is that somthing the way that  explorer doesn't
agree with?

it is for telling Microsoft there is not something about orbiter windows doesn't like and they might fix it if they
make a  patch but it might not be their fault.

You are talking about error reporting when Orbiter CTDs.
Microsoft automatically requests an error report be sent to them to determine why an application CTDs. It assists microsoft
in determining why applications are crashing, and if there is anything they need to change to enhance Windows to make it work
better.

When Orbiter CTDs though, it is usually due to an error with the way Orbiter handles an object or missing configuration
information. Because Orbiter does not write to the registry, sending a report to Microsoft is more or less futile. Orbiter
crashes are about 33% poor scenario or config 33% add on compatability and 33% Orbiter handling issues. At least that is what
I gather from playing with it.

Then again, Orbiter is free of charge, so I can live with a few bugs here and there. :gift:
