Title: LandMFD going berserk..?
Post by: Omegaham on 28 November 2007, 20:30:05
I am running Orbiter 2006p1, and after getting bored with landing manually, I've been trying to figure out how to automate it
with LandMFD. The problem is that when I execute the autopilot, it goes crazy, making me smash into the Moon.

Oh yeah, it works with the ShuttleA; I'm trying to get it to work with the DGIV.

Thanks in advance!

Hover and retro doors open?

Whoops. I'll try that now.

EDIT: It worked slightly better, but it still smashed into the Moon. It got within 150k of the base, though. :hot:

What's odd is that it works with that supplied scenario, the one with six Shuttle-As coming down on Brighton Beach, but
doesn't work with a Shuttle-A when I try it out myself. Any reason why this is the case?

I'm not having huge difficulties with landmfd in itself but do not like the way it lands as though approaching a runway
so prefer to use the DGIV's autohover for final approach, but I cannot find any way of switching off landmfd. Does
anybody know how to disengage landmfd during before landing? If left engaged it goes, well berserk with a sort of
cobra manouvre that kills the whole crew :damn:
